Asphalt pavers are special machines for paving asphalt mixture which are mixed by asphalt plants. The primary purpose of the paver is to place the mixed asphalt mixture to the desired width, thickness, and cross slope and to produce a uniform mat texture. The paver should also be able to place the asphalt mixture in a manner that results in improved smoothness of the roadway.
